The 35th Raising Day of the 112th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Battalion headquarters on DC Road, Kangpokpi. The occasion was marked by solemn tributes to the martyrs, spirited sports events, and a memorable cultural program.
The celebrations began with a heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes at the Martyrs Memorial. Shri Ranjan Kumar Baruah, Commandant of the 112th Battalion, CRPF, along with gazetted officers, subordinate officers, and jawans, paid their respects to those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Baruah congratulated the soldiers and their families for their unwavering dedication and service to the nation. He highlighted the glorious history and achievements of the Battalion, emphasizing their significant contributions to maintaining peace and security.
The spirit of camaraderie was further fostered through a series of exciting sports competitions, where both officers and soldiers participated with immense enthusiasm. The sports events provided a perfect platform for the CRPF personnel to showcase their skills and teamwork.
In the evening, the celebration continued with a cultural program that was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Manish Kumar Sachar, DIGP (OPS), CRPF Range, K.P.I., who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion. Shri Ranjan Kumar Baruah, along with Shri Manoj Prabhakar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kangpokpi, and other CRPF officers, were also present at the event. The battalion's soldiers captivated the audience with their spectacular performances, leaving everyone in awe.
To conclude the festivities, the chief guests, Shri Manish Kumar Sachar and Shri Ranjan Kumar Baruah, honored the participating jawans and artists with awards and prizes to recognize their enthusiasm and talent. Mementos were also presented to the honored guests as a token of appreciation for their support and presence.
The event wrapped up with a traditional Bara-Khana, where the Chief Guest and other dignitaries joined in to share a meal with the CRPF personnel, further strengthening the bonds of unity and brotherhood within the force.
