United Naga Council debars Alfred Kangam Arthur, Kho John and Allyson from public platforms for 7 years

The United Naga Council has debarred Alfred Kangam Arthur,Kho John and Allyson Abonmai from public platforms for 7 years with immediate effect.

United Naga Council issued a public notice on June 13 and made the announcement and also debarred the three individuals who were among the candidates of outer manipur in the recently concluded 18th Lok Sabha election in Manipur from holding any position or leadership in the Naga society for a period of seven (7) years.

UNC notified that the decision was taken in pursuance of the resolution adopted by the United Naga Council in its emergency assembly held on May 29, 2024 at Town Hall, Panchai, Chamdil (Chandel), District, Manipur.

As per the notice,  Kho John of Poumai Tribe, Eno. Dr. Allyson Abonmai of Liangmai Tribe, and Eno. Alfred Kangnam Arthur of Tangkhul Tribe purposely defied and failed to respect and honour the position of the UNC in the recently concluded 18th Lok Sabha General Election, 2024 and thei.r willful attempt to challenge the Naga peoples’ position and its spirit of unity.

UNC directed its constituent units, subordinate/associate units and Naga populace to uphold the resolution of UNC and enforce accordingly in their respective jurisdiction
