The Arambai Tenggol (AT) has lauded Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his "unwavering commitment to fostering peace and stability in Manipur."

"His leadership has been pivotal during these challenging times, and we are grateful for the concerted efforts to ensure the well-being of the people in our beloved state", said a press release issued by Robin Mangang Khwairakpam, Public Relations Officer, Arambai Tenggol, GHQ on Sunday.

The AT press release comes a day after Amit Shah had directed security officials to ensure free movement of people on all roads in Manipur from March 8 and also called for strict action against those creating obstructions.

Amit Shah had also instructed agencies to complete fencing work on both sides of the designated entry points along Manipur's International Border at the earliest.

The AT then expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, saying his prompt actions and assurances during the recent meeting with the Arambai Tenggol have instilled a renewed sense of hope among the citizens.

It can be noted here that the AT had laid down 246 sophisticated weapons last Thursday after Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla asked all youths both in the hills and valley to surrender illegal weapons.

Initially, the Governor had given a week's time starting from February 20 to surrender all illegal and looted arms, but the deadline was later extended for another seven days.
