The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), a conglomeration of valley-based civil society organizations, vowed that they would not back down at any cost until and unless the ‘Narco- Terrorist’ groups were completely rooted out and to not let the supreme sacrifice of brave soul civilian volunteers go in vain.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, COCOMI  sought support of all brave volunteers to work in a coordinated and tactical planning method with proper chain of commands to handle every situation in order to accomplish the task. It appealed to all the citizens and ethnic communities in the state to join hands and fight together to uproot the narco-terrorists and stated that the Narco-Terrorist assertion would be parasitic and no one would be safe from it.

The release stated that it would be the emerging and biggest threat to the national security of India and a shame to the world that India had given a safe haven to re-establish the most dangerous industry of Narco-Terror Funding and Golden Triangle in the state of Manipur (India) from Myanmar.

COCOMI claimed that the innocent village guards from Meetei community were killed by suspected cross border Chin-Kuki Narco-Terrorist groups on Tuesday night at Khongbal area of Imphal East District. The incident occurred while the volunteers were having dinner at around 11 pm in the night of 13 June. Nine local civilian volunteers including a young lady who went to serve dinner to the volunteers reported died and several others injured in the terror attack.

As per the release, one of the survivor narrated that, while many of the volunteers were disarmed as they were preparing for having the dinner, a huge sound of sudden bomb blast occurred and every one of them where running helter-skelter out of shocked. The bomb seemed likely to be launched from a Rocket Launcher and then followed by non-stop shooting with automatic rifles from three sides including from the window of the hall.

The survivor saw some of them with automatic rifles and wearing a Loongee (a Wraparound cloth commonly wore by Myanmar people) which is not a regular common dress in Manipur. They are suspected to be Myanmar Nationals and most probably PDF cadres from Myanmar, it alleged.

Considering the gravity of attacks carried out by the ‘Narco-Terror Groups’, COCOMI appealed  the state and central forces to take up severe retaliatory action against the ‘Terrorist Groups’ until and unless they were completely finished.

Stating that things could go out of hand anytime if further delayed, COCOMI made an appeal to all brave volunteers who risked their lives to defend various vulnerable villages in the fringed areas to be little cautious of the ‘inhumane ‘Chin-Kuki Narco- Terror Groups’ as they alleged would be merciless and would not even hitch while torturing and attacking to them. It also alleged that the Chin-Kuki Narco-Terror groups would not have any sense of brotherhood towards the people of Manipur as they were from different origin and social background.

COCOMI also suggested that the local leaders need to mobilize and manage every civilian who came to extend help with proper cautioning and educating the fundamental ideas and information about the activities and movement of the Narco-Terrorist groups.

The release went on to state that precious lives of Meetei blood could be replaced with those who did not have a home to live, land to grow and people to love. They are just another wandering terrorists eagerly searching for a place to live and exploit all the resources available and move to another place again, it added

COCOMI claimed that Manipur was and is never safe from such invaders since historical times and that is why there were several records in the royal chronicles about the Lushai Expedition of 1883 and Seven years devastations of 1819-26 and the Kuki Rebellion of 1917-19.

They shamelessly make false representation under misleading and unfulfilling names of organization like "Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum/ITLF" and "Committee on Tribal Unity/COTU" with no tribal leaders representing from major Ethnic Tribes of Manipur. Their agenda being build up under the disguise of a false narrative and wrong basis, the press release stated.

The World will understand them very soon. COCOMI is preparing a complete and full reports on how they have planned it, who are the traitors from within the State Agencies, Who are their projected scholars, who are the Narco-Terrorist leaders, their sponsors and front runners inside of the system, antecedents of their prominent leaders etc. It's just a matter of time, truth will come out.

Considering all the above situation, it is of no use to fight back in anger, we have to be rather more determine in a new strategy to first expose all the powers behind all this crisis and to tactically use our state forces under the existing law of the land, COCOMI added.
