The results of the Class XII Examination 2025, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), were declared on Friday at a formal ceremony held at the COHSEM Hall in Babupura, Imphal.
This year’s results reflect the growing empowerment of young women in the state, with girl students securing the top positions in all three streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Out of 28,909 students who appeared for the examination, an impressive 27,175 passed, pushing the overall pass percentage to a notable 94%.
Non-government institutions recorded a higher success rate of 95.66%, while government institutions followed closely with 89.95%.
In the Arts stream, Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham, swept the top three positions.
Keisham Hannah Devi secured the top position, followed by Harsh Maisnam and Sagolsen Inungangbi, who claimed the second and third ranks, respectively.
In the Commerce stream, TG Higher Secondary School stole the spotlight with an impressive clean sweep.
Warepa Lidia secured the top rank, followed by Yaifabi Sapam in second, and Devia Mayenglamba and Prithita Yumnam, who jointly secured third place—all from the same institution.
In the Science stream, Riya Kkwairakpam of Comet School emerged as the state topper, continuing the trend of girl-led excellence.
She was followed by Medicianan Moriangthem from Herbert School in second place and Silvia Lukram of Comet School in third.
The declaration event was graced by N. Praveen Singh, Secretary (Education), who attended as the Chief Guest. COHSEM Chairman I. Ojit Singh presided over the function, which was also attended by Director of Education (S) Ng Bhogendro Meitei, Additional Director Bisheshwar Khumucham, COHSEM Secretary Kh. Ashnikumar, and Controller of Examinations O. Joy Singh.
The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur, extended its heartfelt congratulations to the successful candidates of the Higher Secondary Examination 2025 who excelled in securing the highest marks in their respective MIL (Modern Indian Language) subjects.
KSO stated that they are proud to recognize the achievers from Churachandpur district. The subjects and the students' names are as follows:
"Your hard work, dedication, and academic excellence have made your families, communities, and institutions proud. May your success today be the foundation of even greater achievements in the future," stated the release.
In Churachandpur district, Sielmat Higher Secondary School recorded the highest pass percentage of 98%.
