At 10:00 AM today, a seamless and coordinated deportation operation took place at the Land Port Moreh, resulting in the deportation of 27 Myanmar nationals. This action was carried out after securing the necessary clearance from Immigration and Customs authorities at the port.
The operation was overseen by key officials and supported by a robust security presence. Authorities involved in the deportation included the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Moreh, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moreh Police, 5 Assam Rifles, Bureau of Immigration Moreh, and Land Customs Station Moreh.
The deportation process was initiated after thorough verification and clearance by the Immigration and Customs authorities at ICP Moreh. The 27 individuals were then escorted by personnel from the Moreh Police and 5 Assam Rifles to ensure their safe and orderly handover.
Upon completion of all formalities, the deportees were handed over to the Immigration authorities in Tamu, Myanmar. The entire operation proceeded peacefully, with no untoward incidents reported.
