CRPF Continues Civic Action Program and Free Medical Camp in Kangpokpi's Remote Region

The event is a testament to the CRPF’s commitment to its motto, “Service and Loyalty,” and its enduring role as a pillar of support for the people.

In a significant community outreach initiative, the 112 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) continued its mission to build trust and empower communities through a people-friendly Civic Action Program (CAP) and Free Medical Camp held today at Gelnel Village in Kangpokpi District.

This program, aimed at fostering goodwill and addressing local needs, was conducted under the leadership of Rajendra Narayan Dash, IPS, IG, CRPF M&N Sector, with guidance from Manish Kumar Sachar, DIG (Ops) KPI, and supervision by Pramod Kumar Sahoo, Commandant, 112 Bn CRPF.

The event saw a strong turnout, with over 150 villagers participating. Among the dignitaries present were Village Chief N. Khongsai, Village Authority Members, Second-in-Command Mukesh Taterway, CMO Dr. Umashankar Verma, Assistant Commandant T.S. Baite, and other senior officers, including Shivraj Mahulya (Assistant Commandant, E-112 Bn).

In his address, the Village Chief expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CRPF for its unwavering commitment to maintaining stability and security in the region. He highlighted the importance of nurturing strong ties between security forces and local communities to ensure sustained peace and development.

A comprehensive medical camp was also organized, with the support of staff from PHC Tujang Waichuong, providing critical healthcare services to villagers and addressing their immediate medical needs.

During the event, beneficiaries received essential supplies, including sports equipment (football and volleyball sets with nets), solar lamps, syntax tanks, flexi pipes, school bags, and dustbins, all aimed at improving the quality of life in the community.

Adding a festive touch, youth clubs from Gelnel B. and Rijartal Nepali Villages performed vibrant cultural dances, showcasing the rich heritage and unity of the local community.

Speaking at the event, Second-in-Command Mukesh Taterway reaffirmed the CRPF’s dedication to building trust and cooperation with local communities. He expressed gratitude to the villagers for their participation and pledged continued support to ensure the region’s development and security.

The villagers, in turn, expressed deep appreciation for the CRPF, applauding the 112 Battalion’s proactive efforts to address their needs through such people-friendly initiatives.
