In a commendable initiative to bridge the healthcare gap in remote areas, the 158 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp today at Kangchup Chiru and Kangchup Makhom villages under Kangchup Geljang Sub Division in Kangpokpi District.

Led by Dr. Karthika Balan, Medical Officer of the unit, a dedicated medical team provided essential health checkups and distributed free medicines to scores of villagers. The camp aimed to address common health issues and raise awareness about preventive care in regions where access to quality healthcare remains limited.

Commandant Sanjay Negi emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, "Organizing free medical camps is a meaningful way to contribute to public health, especially in underserved areas. It is part of our commitment to not only ensure security but also support the well-being of the local community."

Villagers wholeheartedly welcomed the initiative, lauding the CRPF for its dual role in maintaining peace and supporting social welfare. Many residents expressed deep gratitude to Commandant Sanjay Negi and his team for their compassionate outreach and timely assistance.
