Dedication of CoTU's Prayer Cell held during a mass prayer

The announcement and dedication of a Prayer Cell established under the aegis of the Committee on Tribal Unity, or the CoTU, Sadar Hills Kangpokpi District was held during a Mass Prayer ceremony today at KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi District Headquarters.

CoTU established the Prayer Cell as part of its branch to provide support, resilience, and guidance to individuals and communities in times of crisis, rooted in faith, compassion, and strength.

The CoTU's Prayer Cell also aims to serve as a beacon of hope and support for all members of the community and stands as a testament to the transformative power of prayer in overcoming life's challenges and finding strength in unity.

In a powerful display of solidarity and shared purpose, the Kuki-Zo community gathered in a Mass Prayer organized by the Committee on Tribal Unity today at KBC Centre Church, Kangpokpi District Headquarters to offer prayer on several prayer points.

The prayer session led by the CoTU's Prayer Cell brought together representatives from a diverse array of civil society organizations, including Kuki-Zo's prominent leaders, and church leaders, apart from the common citizens.

The mass prayer goers join hands in prayers for the Kuki-Zo community, civil society organizations, village volunteers, and the Kuki-Zo SoO groups under UPF and KNO.

Rev. Sholal Touthang attended the mass prayer as the main speaker on the topic "Pray without Ceasing" emphasizing the continuous connection with the divine through prayer, suggesting a lifestyle of constant communion with a higher power, regardless of circumstances or activities.

The prominent Reverend encouraged the gathering to maintain a mindset of prayer throughout their daily lives, seeking guidance, comfort, and spiritual nourishment in all situations.

While Upa Yangsat Chongloi performed the dedication ceremony of CoTU's Prayer Cell, Evan. Mangboi led the prayer for the Kuki-Zo community and the civil society organizations and Rev. Mangkholen Kipgen led the prayer session for the village volunteers and the Kuki-Zo's SoO groups.

CoTU's Prayer Cell Convenor, Rev. Thangsat Kipgen emphasized the importance of establishing CoTU's Prayer Cell and its commitment to serve the community not only during the challenging times but until the arrival of God's kingdom.

Apart from other members of CoTU, village chiefs, and CSO leaders, Lunthang Haokip, Vice chairman of CoTU and Lamminlun Singsit, secretary of CoTU also attended the mass prayer.
