The violence in the BJP-ruled Manipur state is so explosive that even the ruling BJP leaders and workers are not safe anymore in inner Manipur.
This was conveyed by the BJP Manipur State Secretary Paokam Haokip to the visiting Minister of State (Home), Nityanand Rai, and the BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra.
The BJP Manipur State Secretary while highlighting the impractical situation to work together as party leaders and workers in inner Manipur said that despite being we are all Indian working together for the welfare of people under the BJP, the current violence in the BJP-ruled Manipur is so devastating that we are no more safe in the inner Manipur.
"The inner Manipur is not anymore safe even for the BJP leaders and workers belonging to the Kuki community to work together", he asserted.
He continued that the BJP leaders and workers are vastly contributing to the party and that there are many Ministers and MLAs and thousands of workers and karyakartas apart from many leaders from the Kuki community in the BJP-ruled Manipur state working for the welfare of the people.
However, the party's president and the Chief Minister could not even save us and we are no longer in a position to return to the inner Manipur to work for the party, he added.
He also pointed out that even if I am the state secretary, I was almost killed, thanked God, I had a narrow escape.
He then apprised the visiting central leaders of the urgent need for an alternative arrangement in the form of separate administration to enable the party leaders and workers from the Kuki community to work peacefully for the welfare of the people and the nation.
He also shared his opinion that invoking Article 356 can solve 50% of the problems which could also pave the way for initiating the peace process.
Meanwhile, BJP Sadar Hills President Thangjamang Kipgen while highlighting his grievances and ordeals said that my village Bongbal Khullen had also been completely burnt down and I could not even take out my spare clothes, forget about the villagers.
Hen then urged the visiting central leaders to install permanent security posts at various strategic locations in the Bongbal Khullen area under the Island Sub Division in Kangpokpi district.
He said that the Bongbal Khullen area is a hypersensitive zone while conveying that people prefer Assam Rifles, paramilitary forces, and the Army as they don't believe anymore in the existence of the state force.
He also highlighted that in the current Manipur crisis, criminal activities are followed by looting or robbery which had been never witnessed in past such incidents.
"When N. Biren Singh has no authority to pull the string, only then we will start believing in the peace process," said another Kuki leader to the visiting central leaders.
