While addressing the Internally Displaced Persons in the relief camps, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that as a guardian of the state, it is my duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the people and I have come to visit you if I could address some of your grievances and problems.

She said that to ensure the Internally Displaced Persons in all the relief camps across the state have no problems and grievances, I am always in touch with the Centre.

Talking about the way forward to restore peace in the state and all the Internally Displaced Persons return to their respective places/villages, the Governor said that when everyone from the two warring communities abstained from taking the law into their own hands, and rather help the security forces in maintaining law and order, violence would automatically stop and peace can be restored in the state.

She also said that violence would not bring any benefits to both the communities and the state at large.

The Governor then appealed to both communities to come together to help the security forces maintain law and order in the state so that peace can be restored and everyone can live peacefully together again like before.
