In a heartfelt show of solidarity, the Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh organized a candlelight vigil this evening at the MYC Office Campus to honor the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The solemn event brought together members of various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including the Kuki Women's Union & Human Rights, Moreh Youth Club, Kuki Khanglai Lawmpi, and Kuki Students Organization, along with residents of Moreh who gathered to express their condolences and denounce terrorism.
Speaking at the vigil, Shri Victor Limthang Touthang, President of HTC Moreh, strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed the community’s unwavering stance against terrorism. "The people of Moreh stand united in grief and in opposition to all acts of terror. We extend our deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and pray for their strength during this tragic time," he said.
He also paid tribute to the Indian Army personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging their sacrifice and valor in protecting the nation.
The vigil concluded with a moment of silence observed in memory of the fallen soldiers and innocent lives lost in the attack.
