Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday came out strongly against the perpetrators of the recent Pahalgam attack and declared, “India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers.”
Addressing a gathering in Madhubani, Bihar, Modi—who is known for using Hindi in his speeches, even on international platforms—switched from Hindi to English to make a strong statement regarding the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians were killed.
The Prime Minister said, “Friends, today from the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world: India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backer.”
Modi emphasized that India will pursue the attackers and terrorists to the ends of the earth, and that the spirit of the nation will never be broken by terrorism.
While stating that terrorism will not go unpunished, Modi said that every effort will be made to ensure justice is served.
He added, “The entire nation is firm in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us.”
The Prime Minister also thanked the people and leaders of various countries who have stood in solidarity with India.
