Displaying top-tier preparedness, the District Administration Kangpokpi, under the exemplary guidance of the District Election Officer with his proactive subordinate officers, flawlessly dispatched polling personnel for the second phase today, building on their prior successful dispersal yesterday for the first phase poll, scheduled for tomorrow.
The sleepless efforts of the District Election Management Machinery headed by the District Election Officer, Mahesh Chaudhari and their determination to preserve the essence of India's grandest festival resulted in a top-notch readiness for tomorrow's poll in the district.
Interestingly, unlike previous elections in the district, this year's Lok Sabha Election featured a significant involvement of women polling officials. The District Election Officer designated 77 polling stations to be exclusively managed by women.
Approximately 500 women polling officials have been assigned to exclusively handle 77 Polling Stations, along with four Special Polling Stations for Displaced Voters from the Inner Parliamentary Constituency, out of the total 24 Special Polling Stations, marking the highest number in the state.
All polling stations in Kangpokpi District Headquarters, including the esteemed 50/5 Kangpokpi (C), a standout model polling station in the district, will be solely staffed by women. These stations were adorned with captivating decorations, heightening the importance of the occasion.
The second phase dispersal also includes PwD polling personnel for managing 50/7 L. Songtun Polling Station designated as PwD Managed Polling Station.
The polling officials and CAPF personnel were dispersed successfully after receiving poll material, kits and EVM machines.
