Kangpokpi prays for the success of SA on the 90 days of Manipur's Mayhem

Marking the 90 days-long infamous wide-scale Manipur mayhem, the Kuki-Zo people across Kangpokpi district under the aegis of Kangpokpi District Tribal Churches Leaders Fellowship prayed together for the success of their demand, the Separate Administration at the earliest.

The massive mass prayer service was held at Brig. M. Thomas ground, Kangpokpi, and it was also joined by various Kuki-Zo prominent leaders, Church leaders, intellectuals, civil society organizations leaders, social workers, etc.

Among many others, the main prayer point according to the Kangpokpi District Tribal Churches Leaders Fellowship was for the success of the Kuki-Zo people's demand, i.e. separate administration at the earliest.

Kuki Inpi Manipur President, Ch. Ajang Khongsai, CoTU's Vice Chairman, Lunthang Haokip, human rights activist Dr. S. Chongloi, Kuki Women Organization for Human Rights President, Hahat Touthang, and many other prominent leaders spoke on the occasion while Church leaders also spoke in the event.

At least three prayer sessions were held during the five-hour-long mass prayer event with various prayer points.

Crowd contribution in cash and kind was also held for the cause of the Kuki-Zo people.

Rev. Dr. V. Sitlhou, Advisor, Kangpokpi District Tribal Churches Leaders Fellowship said that the Kuki-Zo people across Kangpokpi as we marked the 90 days of Manipur's mayhem, we prayed for divine protection, the central Government protection, and especially for solution in the form of separate administration for the Kuki-Zo people.

He also seeks Churches across the globe to help the Kuki-Zo people through prayers at such trying times.

The names and photos of the Kuki-Zo martyrs in the ongoing violence were also put up for the Kuki-Zo people to pay their tribute and honor.

Various prominent Kuki-Zo gospel artists enthralled the crowd with gospel songs during the event.
