Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has requested the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, to take up necessary legal actions against the officials/ authorities, involved in violation of the Election Model Code of Conduct for the ends of justice.
In its letter to the CEO Manipur, the President of MPCC, Keisham Meghachandra, highlighted 13 recruitment notifications/ advertisements issued by various departments of the Government of Manipur which he alleged were issued after the existence of election model code of conduct.

The MPCC stated that the said notifications are now available in the social media platforms and are also as widely published by the public. The process of the form submissions of the said notifications are still continuing in all the Employment Exchanges by violating MCC, the letter stated.
Meghachandra also said that the MPCC legal department has already submitted an application regarding the same matter on 2 April, 2024 but no action has been taken up against the authorities so far as his knowledge was concerned.
