Amidst the ongoing crisis in Manipur, the Kuki-Zo community today formed a Core Committee on Separate Administration (CCSA) today at Lamka (Churachandpur), to further pursue their aspiration for Separate Administration from the State of Manipur.
The committee was formed based on the resolution taken by the joint meeting of Kuki MLAs, Innpi (s), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) at Aizawl, Mizoram, from May 17-18 last month. In that meeting, all the attendees had unanimously agreed to formed a committee to further pursue the demand for separate administration. The meeting had also agreed to elect interim Chairman and Secretary; and Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), Zomi Council (ZC) and Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) would send two delegates each to the committee. It was also agreed to establish CCSA Liaison office at Aizawl.
Accordingly, induction and expansion of the executive core committee was held today and subsequently, the elected committee members, with two-member delegates each from Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), Zomi Council (ZC), Hmar Inpui (HI), Mizo People's Convention (MPC) and ITLF, were sworn-in at the Mini Auditorium, Dorcas Hall New Lamka,
The Core Committee would also set-up a Regional office at Lamka, Pherzawl, Kanggui, Chandel, Tengnoupal, Va-ngai, Jiribam and Tamenglong.

Two members each from Hmar Inpui, Kuki Innpi Manipur (KIM), Zomi Council, Mizo People's Convention and ITLF were elected as ex-officio members.
