Manipur's Textiles, Commerce and Industry and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen distributed financial assistance to the Internally Displaced Persons sheltered at the Pre-Fabricated House at Keithelmanbi Military Colony in Champhai Sub Division of Kangpokpi District.
The financial assistance distributed by the Minister was the "Third One-Time Assistance" of the Government for clothing and personal belongings for people living in relief camps.
The distribution function of one-time financial assistance for the third phase was also attended by SDO Champhai, Len Singsit and his subordinate officers and other concerned department officials.
The Minister handed over the one-time financial aid of Rs. 1,000/- each to all the inmates sheltered at the pre-fabricated house at Keithelmanbi Military Colony where around 262 IDPs are staying at present.
A one-time financial aid of Rs.1,000/- each was provided per head to the inmates.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Nemcha Kipgen said she is very delighted to witness the inmates stay in a pre-fabricated house where they could have privacy now.
While conveying her heartiest gratitude to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his concern, the Minister also conveyed her appreciation and thanks to the centre for the tireless and benevolent efforts for the well-being of all inmates in the relief camps.
Nemcha Kipgen also inspired the inmates in the relief camp to not simply stay in the relief camp but use their talent and skills for the sustenance of their livelihood by availing various schemes provided by the Government.
She also encouraged the Internally Displaced Persons to not lose hope and assured them that a day would definitely come for them to return to their respective villages and once again live a normal life while motivating them to be strong in prayer and extend a helping hand to one another.
