In a show of resilience and cultural pride, the border town of Moreh in Manipur celebrated 'Chavang Kut,' a traditional harvest festival of the Chin-Kuki-Mizo people, today at the Hill Tribal Council (HTC) conference hall.
The festivities took place against the backdrop of ongoing ethnic tensions in the region, with a focus on honoring those affected by the conflict.
The celebration, organized by the HTC, adopted the theme "My Land, My Culture, My Identity," emphasizing the importance of unity and cultural heritage. The festival featured two main sessions, beginning with a praise and worship service led by the Moreh Pastors Fellowship, followed by performances and speeches from various civil society organizations (CSOs) and local dignitaries.
