Moreh Murder Case: JAC Relaxes Bandh upto May 4

The Joint Action Committee Against the murder of Seiminthang Lupheng resolved to temporarily suspend the ongoing bandh along Moreh - Imphal road.

A meeting between the JAC and Minister Letpao Haokip, DC Tengnoupal and SP Tengnoupal was held today at the conference hall of Hill Tribal Council.

In the meeting, it was agreed that the law enforcement agency - Police to nab the culprit within 5-days, District Administration to revoke CrPC 144 immediately, minister Letpao Haokip to take responsibility in providing ex-gratia (not less than 5 lakhs) and suitable government job to the next of kin of the decease and JAC to claim the dead body.

The JAC said that it will resume more intense forms of agitation if the police fails to nab the culprit within the stipulated time.
