Reacting strongly against the allegations made by the Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) in its letter to EU (European Union) Parliament, one of the leaders from Kuki-Zo civil society organisations clarified that none of the Meitei Christian Churches in Moreh town were burnt or demolished in the communal crisis.

In a letter sent to European Union Parliament, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) had alleged that three Meitei Christian Churches were burnt down in Moreh town.

The Moreh CSOs spokesperson termed the allegation as baseless and concocted. He said that no Meitei Christian Churches were destroyed or burnt in Moreh town. The Meitei Christian Churches and Hindu temples in Moreh town remain intact, he clarified.

Notably, Church pastors and religious leaders of the Meitei Christian Churches in Moreh had also clarified that their churches weren't burnt down. They are safe and remain intact.

Religious leaders of the Hindus temples in Moreh town also said the same. They appealed to the media houses not to air without verifying the truth and not to spread fake and concocted news in future.
