Police Arrest 3 Arambai Tenggol Members Involved in Issuing Challans for Collection of Money from Drivers

Security forces arrested three individuals associated with the Arambai Tenggol group on Saturday, following their involvement in issuing Challans to drivers along the Imphal-Jiribam National Highway.

As per information gathered from the Manipur police, the trio were apprehended for illegally collecting money from transport vehicle drivers under the guise of issuing challans.

The arrested members of Arambai Tenggol are identified as: Thangjam George Singh @ Suraj (28), Abujam Narendra Singh @ Mitlang (21), and Wahengbam Amarjit Singh @ Boy (35), all residents of Keithelmanbi in the Patsoi police jurisdiction of Imphal West District.

Police recovered several items from the suspects, including a thermal printer with nine paper rolls, two handheld wireless sets with an extra antenna, two Aadhaar cards, two notebooks, two wallets, a sum of Rs. 1,600, and a four-wheeler.
