Speaking at the rally, CAO of Wung Tangkhul Region, Ayung Sayai stated that “no single individual owns or owned the Naga movement. It is a people’s movement. Everyone should be in the forefront of Naga political movement. Nagas have not submitted to be rule by anyone and that is our political uniqueness. There is a delay in flag and constitution, which is our core issue. There is no compromise on our core issue.”

The rallyist demanded for a honourable and amicable solution at the earliest saying that the delay has been dragging on for too long. “The moment has arrived for us to demonstrate our solidarity and assert collectively to expedite the peace process to the Indo-Naga issue, based on the “Framework Agreement” which is honorable and acceptable to both the parties. It is also time to reaffirm that the negotiation led by the collective leadership under the banner of NSCN/GPRN carry the unequivocal mandate of the Naga people,” stated TKS. The rally started at two points and converged at Ukhrul town ground for a public meeting.
