The Sampoornata Abhiyan campaign was officially launched today at the DTC hall in Tuibong, Churachandpur District, Manipur. The three-month long campaign aims to promote various development initiatives in the region.
The launch event was attended by esteemed guests, including Jameson Hangshing, Project Director, DRDA, Jangminlen Lupho, Block Development Officer, Gracy Haokip, Aspirational Block Fellow, and other block-level officials.
The program began with a welcome address by Jangminlen Lupho, followed by a pledge led by Jameson Hangshing. Block officials presented their progress reports, and a success story was shared by a Self-Help Group (SHG) member.
The ICDS department organized a Paushtik Aahar Mela, creating awareness about nutrition and healthy eating habits among children and women. SHG members showcased their handmade products, including loom-woven shawls, bags, masala, and pickles, at five stalls.
An awareness rally was conducted from M. Songgel to the District Training Centre, led by block-level officials. Additionally, a poster-making competition was held with the theme "Clean Tuibong," with 27 participants vying for prizes.
The campaign aims to bring together various stakeholders to work towards the overall development of the region.
