State govt doubts involvement of foreign machinery from Myanmar in recent incident of Moreh, says Biren

The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh has said that the state government has some doubts of involvement of foreign machinery from Myanmar in the recent incident of gunfight between two armed groups in Moreh, which led to injuring security personnel.

The chief minister made the statement while briefing to the media persons during his visit to the injured police personnel who were admitted at RIMS hospital on Tuesday.

Biren said, “ We have seen some videos leaked from the militants and terrorist groups with sophisticated weapons. We are the government, we are with the central forces and state forces and we are countering them.”

At present search operations is widely going on and reinforcement has been dispatched, he said.

Birens said, “It is our commitment to the people of the State and the Country that we will not succumb to threats and pressure. We will take necessary possible measures to counter such terrorist activities.”

The chief minister also visited the injured Muslim civilians admitted at Raj Medicity in connection with the violence at Lilong Chingjao on Monday evening.
