Valley-based students' bodies appeal people to stop movement of closing Central Educational Institutes

Four student bodies in Manipur- All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Democratic Students' Association (DESAM), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Apunba Imagi Maheirol Singpanglup (AIMS)- have appealed the people of the State to withdraw their decision and movement to close the central educational institution in the State in the interest of the students and state as a whole

The students bodies stated that such movement to close the central educational institutions will be a loss for the people and can also be a factor to weaken the spirit of the people.

"Closing central instititutions such as RIMS, CAU, IIIT Manipur,  Manipur University, NIT, CIPET, ICAR, NIELIT, ICM will only be inflicting harm to oneself," a statement issued on Tuesday.

Keeping in mind the possible negative outcome if the central educational institutions are closed, the student bodies appealed to the people to withdraw and stop the movement.
