"Zalen Awgin: The Voice of the Revolution" Officially Launched in Kangpokpi

The much-anticipated book "Zalen Awgin:The Voice of the Revolution" was officially launched today in a grand event held at KSO Sadar Hills office in Kangpokpi District Headquarters.

The launching of the book was marked by an engaging penal discussion centered on the theme "Change and Progress."

Authored by renowned writer and activist, Janghaolun Haokip, "Zalen Awgin" delves into the historical and socio-political landscape of the region, capturing the essence of revolutionary movements that have shaped its present. The book is hailed as a significant contribution to the literature on regional revolutions, providing deep insights into the struggles and triumphs of the people.

"Zalen Awgin is not just a book; it is a testament to the resilience and determination of our people. It reminds us that change is often born out of struggle," the author said in his keynote address.

Highlighting the role of literature in documenting and inspiring progress, Haokip remarked that, "Through narratives like 'Zalen Awgin,' we preserve our past and lay the groundwork for future generations to learn and grow".

Emphasizing the contemporary relevance of the book, the author said that in times of rapid change, it is crucial to reflect on our journey and recognize the progress we have made.

He also conveyed his anticipation that the book would serves as a beacon, guiding toward a more inclusive and just society.

The event attracted a diverse audience, including scholars, activists, local leaders, and residents eager to partake in the celebration and discussion.

The panel featured prominent leaders such as Thangminlen Kipgen, Thangkhochon Haokip, and Ngamminlun Kipgen.

Each speaker brought a unique perspective on how change and progress are intertwined within the fabric of revolutionary movements during the discussion smartly moderated by Thanglenmang Kipgen, Academic Dean of Oasis College, Kangpokpi.

The discussion aiming at a general discourse towards addressing social issues and concerns and encouraging change and progress for society, also included a Q&A session, where attendees expressed their thoughts and sought further insights from the panelists.

Earlier, the book was formally released by Helien Kipgen, a social worker and dedicated by Rev. Tunlal Haokip.

As the event concluded, the author, Janghaolun Haokip signed copies of "Zalen Awgin," with proceeds from the sales contributing to local educational programs.

The successful launch of "Zalen Awgin" marks a significant milestone in Kangpokpi's cultural and intellectual landscape, promising to inspire change and progress within and beyond the region.
