As they did not come back home till afternoon, they called them up on their mobile phone. But they didn’t get any response.

Subsequently, the family members had filed a missing report at Lamsang Police Station. A CCTV footage captured in the Sekmai area shows them riding their bike towards Kanglatombi’s side emerged on social media.

According to police, their mobile phones have been traced near the Senapati Oil pump. The Personnel from Kangpokpi District Police, Assam Rifles and CRPF are reportedly carrying out search operations in suspected areas to find out.

Meanwhile, local people and family members met with Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan and the Titular King of Manipur who is also MP of Rajya Sabha, Leishemba Sanajaoba at Manipur Royal Palace this afternoon.

They submitted a memorandum to both the governor and MP urging them to find the missing boys.  They also plan to submit a memorandum to Chief Minister N Biren. JAC was also formed in connection with their missing case.

Condemning the suspicious missing of two students, hundreds of students staged a protest in Imphal. They demanded state government find out the whereabouts of the two students.

The protesters began from BT Road and attempted to move towards Governor Road. However a large number of police personnel (both central and state forces) prevented them to march towards Governor Road stating that the place comes under a silent zone which is prohibited from carrying out any form of protest.

Ngariyambam Khomba, a resident of Akham requested the Governor and other competent authorities to launch a drive to find the missing boys.

After meeting the Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Monday, MLA of Lamshang Assembly Constituency, Sorokhaibam Rajen, said the Governor gave assurance to the JAC and locals that the state is working proactively to find the missing youths.
